Dr. Norah Ghazi Nahhas

Dr. Norah Ghazi Nahhas is a Consultant in Pediatric Metabolic and Genetic Medicine, currently practicing at Saudi German Hospital in Jeddah and serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Umm Al-Qura University. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of inborn errors of metabolism and inherited genetic disorders in children. She completed her pediatric residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital, McGill University, and a fellowship in biochemical genetics at The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, in Canada. She is certified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), and a Fellow of the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (FCCMG). Dr. Nahhas is an active academic and researcher with numerous peer-reviewed publications in metabolic and genetic disease, including contributions to GeneReviews. She is also engaged in medical education and community health initiatives, with a particular focus on raising awareness of the genetic risks of consanguineous marriage.
