About the Doctor
Dr. Amro Ali Alghamdi is a Senior Registrar / Assistant consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology based in Riyadh. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Almaarefa University and completed his Saudi Board in Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Riyadh Second Health Cluster (King Fahad Medical City and Al Yamamah Hospital). His clinical practice covers general obstetrics and gynecology comprehensively — from antenatal and high-risk pregnancy care, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and obstetric emergencies, to the assessment and management of gynecological conditions. He has completed several advanced training programs accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) in obstetric emergencies and surgical skills, along with courses in Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury (OASIS) repair and basic laparoscopic surgery, and holds ALSO certification. He was recognized as Best Resident within the Second Health Cluster three times (junior level in 2022 and 2023, and senior level in 2024). During his residency he held several leadership roles, including EMR/HIS Project Manager, and contributed extensively to the authorship of medical policies and the departmental residency program, in addition to delivering numerous medical lectures. He has published research and educational contributions, serves as a faculty member with Medical Education Without Borders, and is a member of the Saudi Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He combines clinical experience with an interest in technology-supported care. He speaks Arabic and English.
