About the Doctor
Dr. Abdulkareem Salahuddin Fatani is a Family Medicine Senior Registrar and Chief Palliative Medicine Fellow (F2) at King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah, where he leads the fellow cohort alongside full clinical fellowship duties. He is Saudi Board-certified in Family Medicine (SBFM) and also practices part-time as an Associate Consultant, independently running a family medicine outpatient clinic. He ranked in the top 2% nationally (98th percentile) in the Saudi Board Family Medicine Part II examination and was named Best Family Medicine Resident Doctor by the Family Medicine Academy in Makkah. He is a contributing author to the national Family Medicine Textbook of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine. His clinical focus spans comprehensive primary care, palliative and end-of-life care, cancer pain and complex symptom management, and opioid stewardship. He is also an active researcher in cancer pain and end-of-life care and an experienced medical educator, developing OSCE assessments and structured board-preparation curricula for residents and fellows.
